ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Chao-Jen Wong

Chao-Jen received her B.S. and M.A. degrees in Applied Mathematics from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in 1998 and 2000, respectively. She is working toward her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at CSUF.

Chao-Jen has been employed as an part-time academic at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Communications System and Research section since 2000. Her work at the Lab's Flight Communication Group involved developing the telecom-link analysis tool.

She is now helping develop the Telecom Forecaster Predictor (TFP) tool, which anticipates telecommunication-link performance for currently operational deep space missions. She also developed the TFP tool's generic model that will specifically support preliminary mission design.

Earlier, Chao-Jen created a synopsis of all the missions' telecommunication subsystems in support of Deep Space Communications and Navigation systems (DESCANSO).
