ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sean Wagner

Sean Wagner joined JPL in 2002 as a navigation engineer and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a maneuver analyst for the Cassini Navigation Team from 2002 through the end of mission in 2017. He has been the maneuver lead for the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Navigation Team since 2013, providing both maneuver analysis and orbit determination support for MRO, and is currently serving as a maneuver analyst and software developer for the NISAR Navigation Team. He has also worked on the navigation teams of other missions such as Mars 2020 and Chandrayaan-2.
