Mark Ryne

Mark Ryne is a senior member of the technical staff at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the Navigation and Trajectory Design Section. He received a B.S. in Astronomy from San Diego State University in 1980. He joined JPL in 1983 and serves as an orbit determination analyst. He has provided operational support for numerous missions, including Voyager, Magellan, Clementine, Giotto, Pioneer Venus, Lunar Prospector, Ulysses, Nozomi, Mars Polar Lander, Mars Odyssey, and Hayabusa. He is also the navigation representative to the joint NASA/JAXA working group, which coordinates operations between cooperative American and Japanese unmanned missions.
