ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Shailen Desai received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1996. He has worked at JPL since 1996, initially with the Optical Navigation Group from 1996 to 1998, and since with the Orbiter and Radiometric Systems Group. His work at JPL has been focused on autonomous navigation, satellite altimetry, and GPS applications.
