ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Alessandra BabusciaAlessandra Babuscia received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) and her Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), (Cambridge, Massachusetts) in 2012. She is currently a Telecommunication Engineer in the Flight Communications Section at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena. She was the Principal Investigator for the Inflatable Antenna for CubeSat, and she has been the Telecom Lead Engineer for many CubeSat missions (Arcsecond Space Telescope Enabling Research in Astrophysics [ASTERIA], Lunar Polar Hydrogen Mapper [LunaH-Map], Radar in a CubeSat [RainCube], Lunar IceCube, and BioSentinel) at JPL. She is currently the Telecom Chair Lead for TeamXc at JPL and a telecom system engineer for Mars 2020 and Europa Clipper.
